Submission Guidelines: Art

For those of you blessed with the gift of illustration, White Wolf is always open to art submissions from freelancers. If you are interested in sending your art to us, please follow these guidelines:

  • We will only consider submissions for our intellectual property (i.e. World of Darkness, Scion, Exalted, EVE, etc.).

  • Each artist must (MUST) send a Disclosure Form with their work. This is an absolute necessity and we will not look at your submission without this form. You can download a Disclosure Form here.

  • Send us 3-5 illustration samples that match the content and flavor of our game worlds. Consider this your initial “portfolio” for us. If we like what we see, we will work with you from there.

  • Samples should be in JPEG format at 72 dpi. An acceptable size is an illustration that matches a full sheet of paper (8.5 x 11 inches). If possible, we prefer a link to a website instead of email attachments.

  • If you do send your submission via email, please keep the file size reasonable. If it takes too long to open or it breaks our computers, the art developer will not be a happy camper.

  • We are looking for images that tell a story of some kind, preferably with more than one figure (2-3 people and a background are a plus). We are generally not interested in portraits.

  • Please send only finished illustrations. We do not want sketches.

With this in mind, follow these steps for soliciting your idea to us.

  1. Download a Disclosure Form and fill it out.

  2. You can send your samples the old-fashioned way. If you choose this route, please mail the material with a SASE to:

    matt milberger
2075 West Park Place Blvd.. Suite G
    Stone Mountain, GA 30087

If you prefer email (we prefer it too), please send your material to artsubmissions@white-wolf.com
Whatever way you send it, DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE THE DISCLOSURE FORM.

  3. We will review the material. There is no guarantee about the length of time between submission and response, so if you don’t hear from us right away, don’t fret. You will get a response when we have had the proper time to look over your work. Don’t call or email us to ask about your submission’s status. Patience is a virtue.

Good luck!
