Master cards are cards you play in your role as Methuselah. You'll note that Academic Hunting Ground says it is a master card in the card text.
The blood drop at the bottom of the card means the Methuselah will have to burn two pool to play Academic Hunting Ground. The clan symbol on the left side of the card means that the Methuselah is required to have a ready member of the specified clan (Tremere).
The card is also identified as unique. Only one copy of a unique card may be in play at one time. If a second copy of a unique card is brought into play, the copies will be contested until one is yielded.
