How To Run a V:TES Demo

Running a Vampire: The Eternal Struggle demo is easy!

Step-By-Step guide to a successful demo:

1. 
Contact your local Prince (optional): The V:EKN has a list of Princes (volunteers who help promote the game in their local areas) worldwide who help organize local demos. One of them would be happy to help you organize yours, or, if there's no Prince in your area, you could become a Prince yourself. To find out how, contact Carl Pilhatsch <carl.pilhatsch@chello.at>.

2. 
Contact your local retailer: Coordinate with your local game retailer to arrange the time and place for the demo. You may also want to place a special order with your retailer for White Wolf product:

which retailers can order from their White Wolf distributors (list of White Wolf distributors).

Soon we will have a downloadable order form here for convenience to help you place the special order with your retailer.

Each kit contains two copies of each of three different demonstration decks. These small starter decks have been specifically designed to include common cards that make teaching the game easier. Anyone who goes through the demo should be given his or her deck of cards to keep. If you expect more than six players to attend your demonstration event, order multiple demo kits. The demo kits are free.

Depending on availability and ordering times, the kits may take 2 days or 2 months to arrive by special order. Kits should normally arrive in less than 2 weeks. It is recommended for your first demo that you not announce or advertise the demo until the demo kits have arrived.

Using the demo kits is optional. Feel free to hold a demo without them.

3. 
Register. Fill out the event form at least 30 days prior to your event. Once approved, your event will appear on the event calendar.

Advertise! To ensure that as many players as possible attend your event, advertise your demo (with fliers, etc.) at least 30 days in advance.

5. 
Ready your Resources. You'll want to be familiar with the game rules at least. We will have a demo script available soon to serve as a walk through guide for a few initial turns based on the preset order of the demo decks. You may also want to be acquainted with the tournament rules, and rulings and errata, in order to answer questions the players have about those.

6. 

Run Your Demo.
(This is the fun part.)
