| | Winter Quarterly Contest Begins September 19th, 2006 Posted: 2006-09-19 It's that time again. That's right, time to give White Wolf a gift of your best
fan submissions for the next Quarterly! You've seen our names in there, now see
yours in print as well. Whether you have a story that is filled with the finest
and most delicious fluff or the crunchiest of choice game material additions
or a happy merging of the two, send it in and it may see print. Just send your
prose or homebrewed rules additions or variations (no more than a few pages,
please) to danielle@white-wolf.com. One submission per week until
the end of the contest. We will take the best pieces can fit. So in order to
insure that your work is entered into consideration, we recommend proper spelling, punctuation,
and grammar. Also keep in mind, I don't get paid for this and neither do you,
the only thing either of us get is the warm and fuzzy joy of doing something
we enjoy and seeing our names in print. It's certainly a warm and fuzzy feeling,
I must say. So here's the pertinent info on winning glory and bragging rights.
How to Enter:
To enter the E-Quarterly Fiction contest, send an email to Danielle at white-wolf.com with an original short story or selection of game material attached. Include your name and city/state with each submission. Entrants are allowed one entry per week until the contest ends.
Contest begins September 18, 2006.
Contest ends Friday, October 20, 2006.
Selection Process and Prizes: Several winners (as space in the E-Quarterly permits) will be announced at the end of the contest and their submissions will be printed in the Winter White Wolf E-Quarterly.
By entering, entrants agree to allow their submission and name/city to be posted both in the E-Quarterly and at www.white-wolf.com.
Eligibility:
Open to legal residents of all countries except where prohibited by law. By entering the contest, participants under the age of 18 years represent to White Wolf Publishing the correct name and address of a parent or guardian for notification purposes. Employees of White Wolf Publishing are not eligible to participate in the contest. The respective affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, agents, and retailers, advertising, promotion agencies, and fulfillment companies of White Wolf Publishing, and the families of each living in the same household, are also not eligible.
By submitting their entries, participants warrant that the submitted work is their own original work; free from any copyright restraints or claims by a third party, and that they possess all the right, title, and interest necessary to enable White Wolf Publishing to use the work without any license or permission from any third party.
Entrants agree that their submitted work becomes the property of White Wolf Publishing and, by submitting the work, entrants transfer all copyright to the work to White Wolf Publishing, which may at its sole discretion publish the work whole or in part without further notice or additional compensation to entrant.
By accepting publication in the E-Quarterly, winners grant White Wolf Publishing permission to use their names for advertising and future promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). This contest is subject to these Official Rules. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in disqualification.
A participant's entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of White Wolf Publishing, if participant attempts (i) to enter the contest through any means other than described in these Official Rules; or (ii) to disrupt the contest, circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with any component of the contest. If any of the above occurs, White Wolf Publishing has the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention, and to seek damages from the participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
No purchase necessary. Open to all entrants submitting a proper entry by October 20, 2006.
White Wolf Publishing and its agencies are not responsible for injury or damage of any kind (carpal tunnel syndrome, smashed monitors, debilitating writer's block, etc.) related to or resulting from participation in the contest. White Wolf Publishing and its agencies are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or failure to receive entry information on account of email problems.
