Ptolus: Delver's Guild Logo Contest

The Delver's Guild would like to thank you for your interest in joining. Though we adventurers often see each other as competition for glory, wealth, and lore, we also find strength in banding together to survive the harshest of challenges. With both of these views in mind we ask you to come forth and submit a visual design that we may all recognize and under which we may all unite together as brothers and sisters in Dungeon exploration. It should herald our organization to the community as well as suggest the ideals for which we stand. Whoever designs the finest display with which we proclaim our existence as the "Delver's Guild" will be rewarded with the knowledge that he or she will bring easy recognition to others. And yes, of course, the winner also gets a discount on certain Guild services.

Contest Specifics:

Create a title/logo design for the words "Delver's Guild". Your submission should fit with in a 3 x 6 inch space. We accept files in 300 dpi Jpeg or Tiff. By "title/logo design," we are looking for something along the lines of the "Ptolus" book logo, the Sword & Sorcery logo, etc.

How to Enter:

Submit the official entry information below to: delvers@white-wolf.com. Please limit the image size for your design to no more than 3x6 inches. All entries must come in full color at 300 dpi. Entrants must use the words "Delver's Guild" in their submissions and may incorporate the Delver's Guild's "treasure chest" symbol (visible on this page) if desired. It is very important to include your complete contact information and the legal disclaimer below with each submission. If under 18, please include the contact information for your parent or legal guardian as well. Entrants are allowed only one entry each.

Selection Process and Prizes:

The winners and three finalists will be selected by Monte Cook with other Malhavoc Press staffers from all eligible entries that are received by the end of the Contest, July 12th, 2006.

Finalists will receive a package including a signed print copy of The Night of Dissolution, a copy of A Player's Guide to Ptolus, and a Ptolus poster. In addition, the logo of the Winner will be used on the current Delver's Guild Website, and the Winner will receive a certificate with a personal note from Monte Cook.

By entering, entrants agree to allow their submission and name/city to be posted at www.ptolus.com.

Eligibility:

Open to legal residents of all countries except where prohibited by law. By entering the contest, participants under the age of 18 years represent to Malhavoc Press the correct name and address of a parent or guardian for notification purposes. Employees of Malhavoc Press are not eligible to participate in the contest. The respective affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, agents, and retailers, advertising, promotion agencies, and fulfillment companies of Malhavoc Press, and the families of each living in the same household, are also not eligible.

By submitting their entries, participants warrant that the submitted work is their own original work, free from any copyright restraints or claims by a third party, and that they possess all the right, title, and interest necessary to enable Malhavoc Press to use the work without any license or permission from any third party.

Entrants agree that their submitted work becomes the property of Malhavoc Press and, by submitting the work, entrants transfer all copyright to the work to Malhavoc Press, which may at its sole discretion publish the work whole or in part without further notice or additional compensation to entrant.

By accepting a prize, winners grant Malhavoc Press permission to use their names for advertising and future promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). This contest is subject to these Official Rules. Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in disqualification.

A participant's entry will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Malhavoc Press, if participant attempts (i) to enter the contest through any means other than described in these Official Rules; (ii) to enter the contest more than once (subsequent entries will be disqualified); or (iii) to disrupt the contest, circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with any component of the contest. If any of the above occurs, Malhavoc Press has the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention, and to seek damages from the participant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
