If you dream of creating for White Wolf,
please see what we want first:

Submission Guidelines: Art
For those of you blessed with the gift of illustration, White Wolf is always open to art submissions from freelancers. If you are interested in sending your art to us, please follow these guidelines:
- We will only consider submissions for our intellectual property (i.e. World of Darkness, Scion, Exalted, EVE, etc.).
- Each artist must (MUST) send a Disclosure Form with their work. This is an absolute necessity and we will not look at your submission without this form. You can download a Disclosure Form here.
- Send us 3-5 illustration samples that match the content and flavor of our game worlds. Consider this your initial “portfolio” for us. If we like what we see, we will work with you from there.
- Samples should be in JPEG format at 72 dpi. An acceptable size is an illustration that matches a full sheet of paper (8.5 x 11 inches). If possible, we prefer a link to a website instead of email attachments.
- If you do send your submission via email, please keep the file size reasonable. If it takes too long to open or it breaks our computers, the art developer will not be a happy camper.
- We are looking for images that tell a story of some kind, preferably with more than one figure (2-3 people and a background are a plus). We are generally not interested in portraits.
- Please send only finished illustrations. We do not want sketches.
With this in mind, follow these steps for soliciting your idea to us.
- Download a Disclosure Form and fill it out.
- You can send your samples the old-fashioned way. If you choose this route, please mail the material with a SASE to:

If you prefer email (we prefer it too), please send your material to artsubmissions@white-wolf.com
Whatever way you send it, DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE THE DISCLOSURE FORM.
- We will review the material. There is no guarantee about the length of time between submission and response, so if you don’t hear from us right away, don’t fret. You will get a response when we have had the proper time to look over your work. Don’t call or email us to ask about your submission’s status. Patience is a virtue.
Good luck!
Submission Guidelines: Games
If you have an original concept for our games that you would like to submit, here is the process for submission. But first, keep these notes in mind:
- We will only consider submissions for our intellectual property (i.e. World of Darkness and Exalted). We will not consider new horror settings or fantasy worlds.
- Most (as in the majority) of our work is developed in-house: created by our developers, shipped to freelancers if necessary, and completed again in-house. This is not to discourage you from sending us your idea, but please realize that it is very possible we have that idea in the pipeline somewhere.
- All unsolicited material sent to us must (MUST) also include a Disclosure Form. If there is not a Disclosure Form submitted with the work, it will be shredded immediately, unread. You can download a Disclosure Form here. Just fill out the information, sign it, and send it to us. This is absolutely mandatory. Seriously.
- Please do not send us manuscripts of your proposed book or game. We do not have time to pore over hundreds of pages of text. Not even our interns have the time to spare (we work them into stupors). A short proposal will suffice.
- Some of our game lines are limited series. Only a few titles were planned for these series. If your idea expands some of these limited series, you might want to reconsider.
- Please be professional when submitting your work. This means: type it up neatly and present only the information that pertains to your submission. Do not send us handwritten material. This may sound like a joke, but it is not: we do not like to decipher the mysterious chicken scratch of the unwashed masses.
- We no longer contact those who submit ideas unless we have an interest in your proposal. If you've followed the instructions and the idea has merit, we’ll contact you. Following up with us will not yield faster results.
With this in mind, follow these steps for soliciting your idea to us.
- Download a Disclosure Form and fill it out. It must be phyiscally signed, or the PDF can be digitally signed using Adobe ID(Adobe Reader 8 or higher).
- Write your idea as a proposal. The proposal should be short (2-3 pages) and contain a brief synopsis, brief descriptions of new rules, the setting, how it fits into the game line, etc.
- Send us the proposal. You can mail it the old-fashioned way. If you choose this route, please mail the material with a SASE to:

If you prefer email (we prefer it too), please send your material to writingsubmissions@white-wolf.com. Whatever way you send it, DO NOT FORGET TO INCLUDE THE DISCLOSURE FORM.
- We will review the material. There is no guarantee that you will be contacted regarding your proposal. You will get a response if we have interest in your proposal. Don’t email or call us to ask about your submission’s status. Patience is a virtue.
If we accept your proposal, we will work with you into turning your idea into a finished product. If your proposal is not accepted, do not be discouraged. We appreciate your suggestions, but there’s only so much time and money available for developing our worlds. Keep sending us your ideas; hopefully you’ll send us one that sticks. Good luck!

Submission Guidelines: Fiction
White Wolf is currently accepting submissions from fiction writers and authors. This includes any fiction based in our game worlds. We are not currently accepting submissions for new fantasy worlds or horror settings. If you would like to submit a work of fiction, please keep the following suggestions in mind:
- Your fiction must fall within the worlds we develop for our intellectual properties (World of Darkness, EVE, Scion, Exalted, etc.). We are not looking to create new worlds; rather, we want to expand the ones we already have
- All unsolicited material sent to us must (MUST) also include a signed Disclosure Form. If there is not a Disclosure Form submitted with the work, it will be shredded unread. You can download a Disclosure Form here . Just fill out the information, sign it, and send it to us. This is absolutely mandatory. We’re not kidding about this.
- Please do not send us manuscripts of your book. We do not have the time to pore over hundreds of pages of text. We would make our interns do it, but they only get one light bulb in their dungeon, and they use that for warmth.
If you've followed the instructions and the idea has merit, we'll contact you. Following up with us will not yield faster, or necessarily any, results.
With this in mind, please follow these steps for soliciting your fiction to us:
- Download a Disclosure Form and fill it out.
- Write your story as a proposal. The proposal should consist of three parts.
- A paragraph summarizing the story. Write this as if it were the back cover text of your book, enticing the reader to buy it.
- A plot summary of the story, covering all the significant plot elements. Try to keep the plot summary to a few (2-3) pages.
- A breakdown of the important characters, describing why those characters are cool and different. Why will the readers want to love (or hate) these characters?
While writing your proposal, be sure to be succinct. You can fit all this information in a few pages; we want to see that you can get your ideas across effectively and imaginatively. A tight and concise proposal is what editors like to read.
- Send us your proposal. You can mail it the old-fashioned way. If you choose this route, please mail the material with a SASE to:
