VTES Event Walkthrough
Many of you have wondered how to use our new integrated Event calendar to schedule and report your events. This guide is intended to clear up any confusion in the process.

Add an Event
Step 1: Add Event button
If you would like to schedule an event, simply go to the Event Calendar and click on the bottom at the top labelled 'Add Event'

Step 2: Choose your game
You will need to choose what type of game you would like to run from the dropdown boxes. For VTES, this is 'Card Game' and 'VTES" and you may choose whether your game is a constructed game, a limited game, or ay number of other options.

Step 3: Filling out the information
You will be presented with a screen where you can enter the details of an event such as its name, the name of the location you'll be playing at, the time, a desciption, and the Prince's ID number.

Step 4: Waiting for Approval
Once you've submitted your event, you simply need to wait for teh Organizer Play Coordinator or designated help to approve your event. Once approved, the event will show up on the Event Calendar.
Managing Events
Step 1: Find your Event (NOTE: Only the person who submitted the event may report results)
Simply navigate to your event by clicking on the Calendar, selcting a month from the dropdown, or using the Search Event button.

Step 2: Choose Action
Click the link to your event, or the link All Events on this Day if you do not see your event. A popup will show the list of events for the day. Find your event, and click on the link you would like to use.
Before the Event
The person who submitted the event will have the option to Edit or Delete the event.
Note that editing an event means it will have to go through the approval process again before appearing on the Calendar.
After the Event
After the Event has passed, the submitter may no longer edit or delete the event but can Report/Rate Results.
Others will be able to view the results of the Event if results have been entered and approved.
Entering Event Results
Step 1: Manage
Follow the steps for Managing Events, and click the link Report/Rate Results

Step 2: Enter number of players
Enter the number of players for the event. The form will use this to generate the correct number of blocks to fill out.

Step 3: Enter results
The form will prompt you for the neccessary information for each player.
Step 4: Wait for approval
Results entered will be reviewed by the Organized Play Coordinator or designated volunteer. Once approved, the results will be counted in the calculations for rankings and player ratings. Ranking and rating WILL NOT update until the results have been approved.
Checking the Status of Results
Step 1: Manage
Follow the steps for Managing Events, for events with results, you will see a link titled 'View Results'

Step 2: See Status
If the results for the event have been approved, you will see a table listing the players with their data. These results and this event are included in rating and ranking calculations.

If the results for the event have not yet been approved, there will me a message stating this. Any results associated with the event are NOT counted in ratings and rankings even though the Prince for the event has entered them.
