Vampire: The Eternal Struggle Tournament Event

September 17-23, 2007 — Vampire: The Eternal Struggle players from around the world will participate in North America's premier V:TES event. White Wolf is pleased to announce that Los Angeles, California has been chosen as the host city of the 2007 V:TES North American Championship.

Co-organizer of the festivities, Robert Goudie, said, "For year's we've been jealous of the excitement that surrounds the European V:TES Championship. We're thrilled to have an opportunity to bring that high level of excitement to North America's V:TES players." This is the first time the U.S. West Coast will host a major V:TES event, and the location finally makes attendance feasible for some outlying players. Goudie continued, "We've hosted V:TES players from the Philippines and other distant areas in the past so we're excited by the prospect of seeing some travellers from the Pacific Rim and beyond."

Mike Courtois, co-organizer and creator of the Week of Nightmares (a series of free play and side-events occurring in the days leading up to each year's North American Championship) said, "Our experience has been that when we treat V:TES as a top-tier game, the player response is always fantastic. We've got some big plans... and we're confident that we are creating a unique experience for players."

As the first indication of their grand plans, organizers commissioned original art to be used in all advertising for the event. Prolific V:TES artist, Leif Jones, collaborated with organizers to create something truly special. "We didn't want the usual gothic-horror piece. Even though the game's theme is dark, spending a week hanging-out and playing V:TES with a bunch of great people is definitely not. We wanted something light and fun and that also captured the special appeal of travelling to play in a great city," said Goudie. "Leif's interpretation of our vision was dead-on."
